I'm Alive

I've got a new nephew. George and Audrey had their baby. He'll be the perfect age to play with James growing up. Victoire just likes to use my son as a baby doll. It'll be good to have a boy to play Quidditch with. A girl to play Quidditch with would be just fine, too-- for clarification-- but Victoire's not really in to anything where she might get dirty.

I'm trying to relax. No news is good news, right?

I've been feeling this horrible sense that it's too quiet. I know we had gotten the death eater count down to a very comfortable ten, but the Carrows did break out and they've been oddly quiet. Maniacs like that don't just go into hiding to live the rest of their lives under the radar. Right?

Or have I profiled them wrong?

Someone spotted Winchester in Kent this weekend. Actually, they spotted a party that fit the Carrows and her, but yes. They were together, which may rule out the idea that she is going to vanish and hide out. I just thought you should be updated.

The owl from the Woods was pretty sickening. What he did to Verity is unthinkable. What if Ginny had been in that shop? He wasn't even a Death Eater. Just a monster in his own right.

Good news among all of this horror: Carmichael showed up at a muggle hospital in Cornwall. He got splinched trying to stop Verity from escaping (as you may have guessed from the arm on your front stoop). We have wizards looking for strange cases in most hospitals and man with clean severed arm who can't explain how it happened usually ranks up there. They called the apparation office and one of their people recognized him and called for the Aurors.

Grr.

James Sirius Potter
1.4 kilos. 38.2 cm. He's tiny because he's a bit early but he's healthy.
He's got dark hair, like me. We won't know about the eyes for a while. He's absolutely perfect.

While we did catch a few of the Werewolves last week, the fact of the matter still remains that the masterminds are out there. The guys we got are thugs and they always have been. We're looking for the plotters right now and we still need Greyback, though we have reason to believe he's not an immediate threat.
