		Mother. Lily Evans was the second daughter of English muggles. Her older sister, Petunia, was her complete contrast. Lily grew up in Surrey with Petunia and her neighborhood friend, Severus Snape. When Lily was eleven she was accepted to Hogwarts and sorted into Gryffindor. That was the start of the end of her friendship with Severus Snape. By fifth year they had completely grown apart because of his family intolerance and her muggle heritage. Lily didn't expect to fall in love with James Potter.
		Father. James Potter was the only child of older pure-blood wizards. When he went to Hogwarts he made fast friends with Remus Lupin, Sirius Black, and Peter Pettigrew. He was arrogant as a boy, but his friendship with Remus and experience with age taught him some humility. The clever boy and his mates became an animagus when they found out Remus was a werewolf. By seventh year he was Head Boy, a Quidditch star, and ready to take on the world. The Potters. It took James a while to win over Lily, but when they graduated Hogwarts they were a couple and soon after they were married. Lily and James were only nineteen when they found out that they were expecting. Baby Harry had all he could ever want, even in the terrifying climate of the first war. It wasn't until Halloween of 1981 that Voldemort came and took it all away. James died first. Voldemort would have spared the mudblood if she hadn't stood in his way. Lily screamed pleas of mercy for her son as she was killed. Then it was Harry's turn. Shielded by his mother's love, Harry remained unscratched as his home was blown to pieces around him and all sign of life was blasted away.




		The Dursleys. Baby Harry was left with his Aunt and Uncle, who were abusive on multiple fronts. His cousin Dudley ensured that he was completely miserable. Harry was never able to have anything he desired and so he was left to savour the hand-me-downs and whisps of entertainment that Dudley tossed aside. If he learned anything from the Dursleys, it was hard work and appreciation. Harry was the opposite of spoiled. He was deprived. He was also a freak. Harry grew quickly accustomed to being alone, though admittedly this has stunted his ability to open up to others.
		The Letter. Harry received his Hogwarts letter on his eleventh birthday. It was delivered by the Half-Giant Hagrid in a hut on the rocks at midnight. At that point Harry learned of his fame and the other world he belonged to. The glimmer of hope that he'd found a place he fit in was squashed quickly. Upon arriving at Hogwarts Harry discovered that his alienation was permanent. He would never be normal or fit in anywhere. He would always be The Boy Who Lived. Despite this, he still managed to make life-long friendships with two classmates, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley. From the Start. The early years passed with many close calls and near misses. Harry became more confident in his abilities and strengthened his resolve to stand up to wrong. In these years Harry face corruption and pure evil so often that he learned early which side he was on. Harry never went looking for trouble, it always found him. Of course, that didn't mean that he let trouble go once he encountered it. Harry was a constant pursuer of justice. When he was told to stay out of it, he ignored the warnings and ended up saving lives. One of the best events of these years was the discovery of his Godfather, Sirius Black. Unfortunately, this coincided with the revelation of the horrible truth that his parents had been betrayed by a close friend. After Quirrel, the Diary of Tom Riddle, and Scabbers the rat, Harry never took appearances of good or evil for granted.




		The Return. Harry became a pawn in and intricate plot his fourth year. He was tricked into coming to a graveyard during the Triwizard Tournament so that Voldemort could be fully rejuvenated in a new, stronger body. It took a year for the Ministry, however, to admit that Voldemort had returned. During that time Harry had to fight against the press and Dolores Umbridge to spread the word and prepare his classmates for the war that was to come. When Voldemort showed up at the Ministry to collect his prophecy, the word was out and the gloves were off. It was war.
		Heating Up. Murder. Turture. The start of the second war was a lot like the start of the first. Harry returned to Hogwarts and Dumbledore spent his sixth year preparing Harry to save the wizarding world. During that time something else unexpected happened. Harry fell in love. His best friend's sister was becoming a young woman and Harry began to realize just how appealing Ginny Weasley was. Her hair smelled like flowers and she was a fierce Quidditch player. She made something in him... a beast in his chest... stir. Harry didn't have much time with Ginny before Dumbledore was murdered and reality set in. He had responsibilities and it was easier for the loner "Chosen One" to guard his heart and not risk losing her. He told her it was only for her own protection. Death. The Horcrux hunt took longer than Ron, Harry, or Hermione could have predicted. A whole year. That year on the run, hearing second hand about the deaths of friends and witnessing some of the first hand, culminated on one large battle that spanned over twenty-four hours at Hogwarts. During that time many more lives were lost, but Harry, in the end, sacrificed himself to save his friends. In doing this he protected them from Voldemort and was able to come back for a show-down with Voldemort. It was a coincidence of wand ownership that saved Harry's life in his deadly duel with The Dark Lord. The year on the run was considered enough of an education to Kingsley Shacklebolt and Harry was accepted into the Auror program. With Ron and the other Aurors, they were able to track down and round up the most vocal remaining Death Eaters. Harry frequently volunteered at the rebuilding of the school to stay close to Ginny and when she graduated their relationship took on a more serious tone. Since the end of the war Harry has been dedicating his life to cleaning up the remaining Dark Wizards and trying to ignore the new onslaught of fame as well as he can.




		Merits. Harry has a very clear sense of right and wrong. He's not easily tempted. His strong-headed courage makes it easy for him to flip the bird to evil. He's a talented flier, and instinctual duelist, and has a strong will to create a corporeal Patronus. Harry is comfortable with being alone. He's also witty and sometimes quick with a snappy comeback.
		Flaws. Harry is hot-headed. He charges first, plans later. He isn't the most attentive student. He's easily frustrated. He's mediocre at potions and awkward on his feet. Harry is nervous around girls. He's never had anyone to give him the sex talk. He's not entirely socially or emotionally aware. Harry is stubborn. He secludes himself. Even when he's around people he guards himself. He lashes out when cornered. He's afraid of loss. Physical. Harry is slim, tall, and decently built from years of yard work, Quidditch, and surviving on the run. He has a scar on his arm from a basilisk fang, a scar on the back of his hand from ~~Umbitch~~ Umbridge, and a scar on his forehead from surviving death. Harry has green eyes, untidy black hair, and a thin face. His nose is narrow, his cheeks are hollow, and his chin is square. He's mostly grown into his previously oversized joints. He does not have a tattoo on his chest, despite rumours.
